The Regional Court in Hamburg has decided with judgement of May 12, 1998
that after placing a link one can possibly be asked to answer for the content
of linked pages.
This can - so the Regional Court - only be prevented by explicitly distancing
oneself from the contents of those pages. The author of this website does this hereby.
He points out that he is not responsible for the design and content of
internet pages of other providers.
The author expressively distances himself from the content of all linked pages
including all sub pages. This statement is also true for processed and designed
banners as well as for the content of pages, to which these banners refer to.
In case of direct or indirect references to external internet pages that are outside the
author's responsibility, liability would only come into effect in the event
that he has knowledge of their content and it is for him technically possible and reasonable
to prevent the use of the illegal content.
The author states hereby expressively that at the time of linking there was no illegal content
on the pages to be linked recognizable. The author has no influence on today's or on future
